Day 1 - EXPLORING THE WILDLIFE
Morning:
Start your day early and enter the park as soon as it opens to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities.
Drive through the park's different ecosystems, which include grasslands, acacia forests, and the alkaline Lake Nakuru. Keep an eye out for various bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and eagles.
Head to Baboon Cliff to enjoy a panoramic view of the lake and its surroundings.
Afternoon:
Stop for a picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic spots within the park.
Visit Makalia Falls, where you can enjoy a short hike and potentially spot some wildlife along the way.
Continue your game drive, searching for the park's resident wildlife such as rhinos, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more.
As the day comes to an end, head to your chosen accommodation within or near the park for a relaxing evening.
Relaxation, Dinner & Overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 2 - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Morning:
Enjoy an early morning game drive to catch the wildlife when they are most active. Look out for any animals you may not have seen on the previous day.
Visit the Lake Nakuru shorelines, where you can find large flocks of flamingos and other water birds. The number of flamingos can vary based on the time of year and water levels.
Take a nature walk around the lake's perimeter to observe the diverse plant life and smaller animal species.
Afternoon:
After lunch, consider taking a boat ride on Lake Nakuru, if this activity is available. It's a unique way to experience the lake's beauty and spot wildlife from a different perspective.
Alternatively, you can embark on another game drive to explore different areas of the park.
Capture any missed photo opportunities and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the park.
