Our friendly driver will pick you up from JKI-Airport, safari briefing then leave on a relaxed drive to the North West through the kikuyu highlands and drop along the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Make a scheduled stop at the rift valley view point for some explanation on formation of features in the Great Rift Valley floor below. Observe the strato volcanic mountains of Suswa & Longonot and the vapor plumes in hells gate geothermal power station & geysers.

Cross the rift valley floor and drive on to the Loita hills arriving in Masai Mara at 1.00pm. Check into your Lodge for lunch. There will be moments of relaxation before commencing your afternoon game drive. Relaxation & Overnight at Luxury Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Sarova Mara Game Camp or similar. Full day game drive in Maasai Mara reserve with packed Lunch. Return to your lodge around 1600 hours. . It’s in this day that we shall be visiting the Mara River to witness the Wildebeests crossing {in July –September} There shall be a visit to a Masai village - one of the most celebrated tribe in Africa for preserving their culture.

HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI RIDE PROGRAM

On the day of your balloon flight, one of our custom safari vehicles will collect you from your lodge between 0400-0530AM and drive you to the launch site. You will arrive at the launch site by 6AM, and depending on weather conditions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. You will then meet your pilot, who will give you a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during your flight. There are basic toilet facilities available at the launch site. NB: One launch site has toilet facilities.

You will then be loaded into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise, at about 6:30AM. The flight will last approximately one hour, depending on wind conditions, and the balloon will land between 7:30 and 7:45AM. You can learn more about what you will see here. Upon landing, you can observe the complete deflation of the balloon envelope. Our vehicles will then transport you a short distance to breakfast.

Our breakfast is set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single balanite tree. You will sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, fresh juices, fruits, cereals & of course sparkling wine. During breakfast, you can also peruse the photos your pilot has taken during the flight, and decide whether you would like to purchase the photos, or any of the other Hot Air Safaris merchandise on display.

After breakfast, at about 9AM, you will have a brief game drive back to your camp /lodge or meet up with your driver-guide for onward itinerary. Depending on what you find along the way, the game drive usually takes about one and a half hours. Our drivers are all experienced safari guides who have attained their “bronze” level guiding certificate from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association. Our drivers have also undertaken strict in-house training to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your game drive.

By 10:30/11:30AM you should be back at your camp or lodge, already reliving the memories of the morning’s flight.

This is the last day of your wildlife safari. We shall begin our morning game drive at sun rise. We shall traverse the savanna plains following the wildlife trails as we search for the early gazers and predators. Return to our lodge/luxury camp for breakfast. Later check out and drive to Nairobi with Lunch enroute. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon where you will pass by the World’s Famous Carnivore Restaurant for Dinner. After this you will be dropped off at your hotel for relaxation & overnight. 254 Ole Sereni Hotel. Meals on: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Pick up and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island. Arrive at the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and our friendly airport representative will pick you and transfer to your beach hotel for overnight at Marijani Beach Resort & Spa 5 Star

Explore Zanzibar holiday. Zanzibar is renowned as a culture destination. is largely a Muslim island and men and women wear a long dresses and Kanzus for men. While in a 4 days Zanzibar Beach holiday in you may want to dress conservatively with long dresses and avoid wearing beach swimming gear while in town.

Zanzibar is renowned for spices and there are farms in the community of Kdichi that grow lots of spices. A Zanzibar beach holiday is never complete without a visit to the spice farms. Make sure to get yourself lost in the stone town as you explore the old life and architecture of the old town buildings. Take a leisurely walk along the narrow streets which are full of life and shop for local artifacts, furniture and fabric.

Eat your way into local cuisine: The Swahili /Arab cuisine is worthy exploring even if you are not a foodie on a 4 days Zanzibar holiday. Make sure to taste some madafu which is raw coconut drink in the streets. Enjoy a meal of Biryani made of goat or beef gravy spread over spiced rice and complimented with a banana. The Kahawa tungu/tamu coffee served in small cups is also a spicy treat for your palate.
